Out of his hands
Leroy’s life had taken a turn for the worse long before he found himself living in a tent. It had all started when he came home one day to find his world turned upside down. His beloved wife and children were gone, leaving behind only a brief note to explain their sudden departure. The note revealed that his wife had decided to leave him, taking their children with her. The news hit Leroy like a ton of bricks, and he felt like his heart had been ripped out of his chest. He turned to drinking to numb the pain, and before he knew it, he had lost everything.
His work suffered, and he was eventually fired from his job. With no income and nowhere to go, Leroy found himself on the streets, grappling with the harsh realities of homelessness. It was a far cry from the life he had once known, and it seemed like he was powerless to change his circumstances. Despite his best efforts, he couldn’t seem to catch a break, and every day was a new struggle just to survive. Now, as he sat in that stark interrogation room, Leroy couldn’t help but wonder where it had all gone wrong. He longed for a way to turn back the clock and make things right, but he knew deep down that it was an impossible dream. All he could do now was wait and hope for a glimmer of light in the darkness that had become his life.
